Bob Childers’ Gypsy Café is Oklahoma’s largest homegrown songwriter festival, returning to Stillwater on Sunday, April 12, 2026—the day after the Boys from Oklahoma concert at Boone Pickens Stadium. The festival celebrates Oklahoma’s rich songwriting tradition with a full day of acoustic performances across multiple local venues. More than 60 Oklahoma songwriterswill perform 45-minute acoustic song swap sets throughout the day at five Stillwater venues. The festival begins with Twangers and Bangers Brunch and continues through the evening, featuring returning favorites, new voices, and the winner of the Jimmy LaFave Songwriting Contest.
Gypsy Café benefits the Red Dirt Relief Fund, a nonprofit organization that has provided more than $1 million in emergency financial assistance to Oklahoma music professionals across all genres since 2012.

The 2026 lineup includes returning favorites such as Cody Canada, Mike McClure (Crow & Gazelle), Lance Roark, Red Dirt Rangers, Carter Sampson, and Mike Hosty, along with 13 new artists and the Jimmy LaFave Songwriting Contest winner.
