(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / March 6, 2019) – Visit Stillwater, Stillwater’s Destination Marketing Organization, is gearing up for a full weekend of events occurring throughout Legends Weekend 2019 – April 19-21. “The goal of Legends Week is to bring together event planners to cross-promote all of the events happening in Stillwater, so visitors will attend additional events, stay additional nights and ultimately increase visitor spending throughout the week,” commented Nicole Horn, Director of Sales for Visit Stillwater.

Legends Weekend 2019 kicks off on Friday, April 19 with the 42nd Annual Stillwater Arts Festival in Downtown Stillwater. Approximately 100 juried artists will be selling a variety of artwork, jewelry, home décor, and more both Friday and Saturday. Visitors can enjoy artist demonstrations, live entertainment, mobile food vendors, children’s activities, and the Iron Monk Beergarden.

The Wall That Heals, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., will be in Stillwater during Legends Weekend. Visitors can honor more than 85,000 Americans who died in the Vietnam War and visit a mobile education center to learn about the Vietnam era in the United States.

The 13th Annual Remember the Ten Run – a 5k, 10k, and fun run – honors and celebrates the lives of the ten members of the Oklahoma State University family who perished in a plane crash on January 27, 2001.  Registration and packet pick-up will start at 7:00am and the run starts at 9:00am on Saturday, April 20.

The OSU Cowboy Football Spring Event is also on Saturday, April 20 at Boone Pickens Stadium with gates opening at 12:00 p.m. Admission is free and autograph opportunities will be held on the field.

Legends Weekend 2019 continues with the Made in Oklahoma Showcase, Euphoria Fashion Show, and two OSU Baseball games against Texas on Friday and Saturday.
