(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / Sept. 1, 2017) – The Oklahoma State softball team has released its 2017 fall schedule, which will include six home games and a road doubleheader against Arkansas, head coach Kenny Gajewski announced today.

The Cowgirls' first matchup of the fall will be a showdown against Seminole State on September 26 at 6 p.m. in Stillwater. OSU will then conclude its first week of fall play at home against Butler County Community College on September 28 at 6 p.m.

In week two, Oklahoma State will face Connors State on Wednesday, October 4, at 6 p.m. The Cowgirls will also square off against Southern Nazarene on Friday, October 6, at 6 p.m. Following those games, OSU will open its alumni weekend against Cowley County at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 13.

The Cowgirls will also make a trip to Fayetteville this fall when they head east for a doubleheader against Arkansas on October 20. OSU will then return to Stillwater to wrap up its fall season with a game against Northern Oklahoma College-Enid on October 26 at 6 p.m. at Cowgirl Stadium.

Oklahoma State is coming off an impressive 38-25 season during head coach Kenny Gajewski's second year at the helm. This year, OSU returns two pitchers and seven positional starters from last year's squad, including two-time All-American Vanessa Shippy.

Shippy is joined in the class of returners by 2017 NCAA walks leader Rylee Bayless, as well as Taylor Lynch, Madi Sue Montgomery, Randee O'Donnell and a host of other Cowgirls. This fall will also allow fans the chance to see the program's 14 new faces, which includes a quintet of stand-out transfers.

All of OSU's games this fall are scheduled to be 10-inning contests, with the exception of the doubleheader against Arkansas. The Cowgirls' trip to Fayetteville is currently scheduled to be two seven-inning games.
