(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / August 30, 2019) - It’s not often that a national recording artist and songwriter spends a Friday night in Stillwater. But when he does, Eskimo Joe’s is the right place to do it!

Reviver Records artist David Lee Murphy will play an all-age, outdoor, free show at Eskimo Joe’s on Friday, September 6. Opening band is The Wight Lighters, a 3-piece county/rock group from Norman.

“This is a unique and fantastic opportunity to present such a stellar singer/songwriter in Stillwater,” said Stan Clark, CEO and founder of Eskimo Joe’s. “We expect a great crowd and a great time!”

Murphy made a mark in the mid-90s on country music with hits like Dust on the Bottle and Party Crowd, 1995’s most played song. An acclaimed songwriter, he’s written hits such as Kenny Chesney’s Living in Fast Forward, Til It’s one and Pirate Flag, in addition to Jason Aldean’s Big Green Tractor, Jake Owens’ Anywhere With You and Thompson Squared’s Are You Gonna’ Kiss Me Or Not. Murphy just came off the road with Kenny Chesney’s Songs for Saints 2019 tour where not only opened the show, but joined Chesney on stage for duet performances.

Gates open at 6 p.m. and music begins about 7 p.m. A live grill and full bar will be available onsite with food and drink options.

“A concert this big is an excellent way to kick of the weekend that also features OSU’s first home football game of the season,” added Clark. “We hope everyone will join us in making it a terrific weekend in Stillwater!”
