OSU Insect Adventure
Overview
Looking for an unforgettable educational activity the whole family will enjoy? Every other week, the Botanic Garden at OSU hosts the Insect Adventure – the only live bug petting zoo in the state! From 10:00am-12:00pm on the first and third Saturdays of each month, visitors are invited to enjoy a range of activities with more than 30 species of living arthropods, from handling creepy-crawlies like tarantulas and foot-long millipedes to getting a rare glimpse into the world of a living honey bee hive.
Your experience will be led by a friendly, knowledgeable professional entomologist who will explain both proper handling and the ecological functions of the species involved. Admission is $3 per person, and the garden only accepts cash.
