The Payne County Free Fair, held from August 28 to September 1, is a celebration of community, culture, and fun in Stillwater, Oklahoma. This annual event offers a wide range of activities and entertainment for all ages, making it a perfect outing for families and friends. Browse the exhibit buildings, check out winners of all types of contests from floral arrangements to baking contests, find treasures and helpful household items at vendor booths, tap your toes to live music and devour all kinds of tasty fair food treats. Plus, the 4-H and FFA exhibitors will be showcasing their livestock projects in top-notch competitions. 

Highlights of the Payne County Free Fair:

Carnival Rides: Experience heart-pumping excitement of thrilling carnival rides each evening from 6-10 PM. Choose unlimited ride wristbands for $33 per person or individual tickets starting at $4. Save money with a $35 Family Pack of 10 tickets or a $100 Super Saver pack of 30 tickets. Each ride requires one ticket except the popular "Freak Out" ride requires two tickets or a wristband plus one ticket.


Children’s Petting Barnyard: From August 28-31, kids can get up close and hands on with adorable farm animals in a safe and fun environment.

Pet Show & Parade: On Thursday, August 29, at 6:00 PM, children from kindergarten through 12th grade can showcase their pets in a delightful parade.

Power of the Past Tractor Parade: Witness a charming parade of vintage tractors every evening at 6:30 PM from August 29 to 31.

Barnyard Olympics: On August 29, check in at 6:30 PM and watch or participate in exciting farm-themed challenges for teams aged 5 through adults. Be sure to register by August 26 if you plan to compete!

Draft Horse Pulling Competition: On August 29, catch Oklahoma's only draft horse pulling competition this year in the outdoor arena.

Lawn & Garden Tractor Pull: Don’t miss the action on August 30 in the outdoor arena.

Livestock Dog Demonstration: Enjoy the impressive skills of working dogs on August 31 at 7:00 PM.

Model Train Displays: The Payne County Model Railroad Club presents captivating model train displays in the Heritage Hall Building, Wednesday-Saturday, 2-10 PM.

Exhibits, Music, and Food: Browse exhibit buildings, enjoy live music, explore vendor booths, and savor a variety of delicious fair foods.
