The stakes went into the ground to outline the 4,900-square foot “real ice” ice skating rink that will be one of the featured activities within Stillwater’s Winter Wonderland November 24, 2017 – January 1, 2018. The ability to ice skate in Stillwater is getting closer thanks to Visit Stillwater partners including the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, Payne County Economic Development Authority, Stillwater Medical Center, Harrison Electric, Tv-31, Stillwater News Press, the Downtown Stillwater Business Improvement District #1, and fifty-two other businesses who graciously sponsored the ice rink.

Various opportunities to enjoy the ice rink are now available to local businesses, organizations, and student groups. A limited number of two-hour private ice skating parties will provide the perfect atmosphere for your company party, birthday party, date parties, and scout or church groups. The entire 102’ by 48’ rink can be reserved exclusively for your group by going to VisitStillwater.org/holidays.

If you would rather purchase tickets for employees, friends, family, clients, customers, or use them for in-house giveaways or Christmas gifts, group ticket discounts are also available. The more tickets purchased the greater the discount from $10 general admission reduced to only $6 per ticket when fifty-one or more are purchased.

One and two night overnight packages will enable visitors the ability to enhance their Winter Wonderland experience or allow you to provide visiting friends and family their own space within one of five outstanding local hotel properties. Included within each overnight package are $25 gift cards to local restaurants, retailers, and attractions.

A long-time partnership between Oklahoma State University Athletics and Visit Stillwater has also resulted in the ability to purchase Cowgirl and Cowboy Basketball tickets at a greatly discounted price with an ice skating ticket stub or receipt throughout the duration of the Winter Wonderland. There will also be OSU basketball ticket giveaways both online and at the rink so ice skating enthusiasts can warm up at Gallagher-Iba Arena while cheering on our Cowgirls and Cowboys.

Stillwater’s only 39-day event will also feature the Reindeer Club of Oklahoma, Kincaid Carriage Rides, Tv-31’s “Here Comes Santa Claus”, and the Northern Oklahoma Food Truck POSSE. Various evenings will also hold special surprises and the opportunity to shake the hand of and collect autographs from local athletes and celebrities.
