With the first football game of the season kicking off in less than a week - we have some gameday tips to make your experience the best ever! Follow our timeline of events and you will see why OSU Football Gamedays are such a big deal in Stillwater, OK!

8:00am

One of the biggest traditions at OSU is tailgating before every game. Starting at 8am (for Saturday games) POSSE parking opens and the tailgating begins. OSU fans young and old pack every square inch of campus with coolers, games, food, and drinks to celebrate together in anticipation of kick off! Don't have a spot to tailgate? Head over to Eskimo Joe's and join the Joe State Tailgate!

4 Hours Prior to the Game:

If you are still hunting down tickets on gameday - you will want to get in line when the box office opens four hours before each game or 8:00am for morning games! We suggest grabbing single game or season tickets well in advance at orange.okstate.com/tickets so you won't miss the action if the game sells out!

3 Hours Prior to the Game:

There's no party like an OSU party! Hall of Fame Avenue gets shut down on gameday for the Hall of Fame Block Party! Enjoy carnival type food, face painting, kid's games, and meet & greets with OSU athletes all starting three hours before the game.

Since parking can be an issue around Boone Pickens Stadium, we suggest using the Game Day Park and Ride from Downtown Stillwater. Enjoy free round-trip shuttle service from Downtown to Boone Pickens Stadium starting three hours before each game and continuing throughout post-game. Catch the shuttle at the corner of 7th Avenue and Lewis Street.

2 Hours Prior to the Game:

The true start of gameday hype begins two hours before the game with "The Walk" on Hester Street. Grab your camera and high-five the OSU Football team and coaches as they make their way down Hester Street to Boone Pickens Stadium.

1.5 Hours Prior to the Game:

Boone Pickens is open for fans! The main gates to the stadium will open one and half hours before each game - giving you plenty of time to scope out the nearest restroom, find the best stadium grub, and locate your seats!

20 Minutes Prior to the Game:

It's the one and only PISTOL PETE! Pete will make his grand entrance into the stadium 20 minutes before each game. Join in the ORANGE POWER chant and prepare yourself for the blast of his shotgun. It's almost game time!

19 Minutes Prior to the Game:

On the heels of Pistol Pete is the Cowboy Marching Band and our favorite gelding, Bullet! Cheer Bullet on as he gallops across the field and stomp your feet and clap your hands as the marching band sets the stage for a great time at Boone Pickens Stadium.

5 Minutes Prior to the Game:

Finally, the moment you've been waiting for, 5 minutes before each game the OSU Cowboy Football Team takes the field as the entire stadium erupts with enthusiastic cheer! You will need to learn the lyrics to "Ride 'Em Cowboys" and after every touchdown, get your waving wheat arm ready for "The Waving Song.

And finally, it's Kickoff! Whether you have had season tickets for thirty years or this will be your first OSU gameday, we hope you can create some of your own experiences and traditions and have a great time in America's Friendliest College Town!
