(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / Aug 18, 2017) – Members of the Central Cattedog Association will be presenting a special demonstration at the Payne County Fair on Saturday, September 2 immediately following the horse show with an anticipated start time of 7:00 p.m.  Three to four trained cattle dogs will be working cattle in the outdoor arena through multiple obstacles and courses. “The audience will have an opportunity to learn what goes into training and developing the use of cattle dogs and the benefit they serve Oklahoma’s ranchers and livestock owners,” stated Payne County Director, Colin Campbell.

The Central Cattle dog Association (hereafter CCA) is hereby formed for the purpose of:

Fostering, promoting and developing the use of cattledogs for the benefit of farmers, ranchers, other livestock owners and cattledog handlers.

Fostering, promoting and facilitating humane handling of livestock by educating farmers, ranchers, other livestock owners and cattledog handlers in the proper use of well-trained cattledogs.

Conducting educational events, including clinics, demonstrations, sanctioning trials, and keeping records for the purpose of qualifying dogs for the CCA Finals and year-end awards.
