(STILLWATER, Okla.)-- The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts at Oklahoma State University (OSU) announces Trace Adkins will perform on Tuesday, February 14 at 7:30 pm for a special Valentine’s Day concert. The concert is part of his “The Way I Wanna Go” tour. McKnight Center season subscribers have access to a presale event starting today. Tickets go on sale to the public October 24.
Since his debut in 1996, larger-than-life star Trace Adkins has sold over 11 million albums and charted 20 songs on Billboard’s all genre Hot 100, while catapulting 15 singles into the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. He’s also racked up two billion streams and boasts a reputation for fiery live performances—not to mention his multiple Grammy nominations, awards from the ACM and CMT, and a willingness to think outside the box.
Adkins recently released his 13th studio album in celebration of his 25th anniversary of his Dreamin’ Out Loud Debut. All-star collaborators include Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Stevie Wonder on harmonica, Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, Keb’ Mo’ and Melissa Etheridge. Adkins currently stars as Albie Roman in the popular television drama, Monarch.
Adkins has historically had the impressive ability to fuse a booming baritone and commanding stage presence with sounds from across the Country spectrum—sometimes with a mischievous wink. This holiday concert will be no different, steeping in the cultural melting-pot of his Louisiana upbringing.
“Trace Adkins is an incredible entertainer who is guaranteed to put on a great concert,” said Mark Blakeman, the Marilynn and Carl Thoma Executive Director of The McKnight Center. “Oklahoma, and Stillwater specifically, has always been a hotbed of world-class country music and artists. We’re thrilled to continue that tradition by including Trace Adkins in our season lineup for this holiday evening.”
