(STILLWATER, Okla.) - The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts at Oklahoma State University premiers its first Family Series show of the season with The Adventures of Tortoise and Hare on Friday, Sept. 16 at 6:30 pm. Tickets are on sale now.

Lightwire Theater performs worldwide, and their innovative creations have been seen on television programming like America's Got Talent! Creators Ian Carney and Corbin Popp build a magical world on state with electroluminescent wire and puppetry that is fascinating for all ages. Each character is built from recyclable materials and can take up to 200 hours to create.

The company combines theater and technology to bring the classic fable of the slow and steady Tortoise and the nimble but overconfident Hare to dazzling life. The new story features Tortoise Junior and Lil' Hare in a whole new kind of race, where their adventures lead them into unexpected territory. With spectacular visuals, poignant storytelling and a variety of musical accompaniment, the entire family will love this new take on the time-honored story.

The McKnight Center aims its Family Series to invite a younger demographic to experience the theater for a fun time filled with music and laughter. All ages are welcome.

All tickets are just $20 including taxes and fees. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.mcknightcenter.org or contact the box office at 405-755-9999.
