The McKnight Center announces Devon Energy as presenting sponsor of 2023-24 season
New collaboration is dedicated to supporting universal access to the fine arts in Oklahoma
(STILLWATER, Okla., Sept. 6, 2023) — The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts at Oklahoma State University proudly announces Devon Energy as the presenting sponsor for the 2023-24 season. The collaboration is the first time seasonal naming rights have been offered since The McKnight Center opened in October 2019.
“We are excited for Devon to be part of The McKnight Center family,” said Mark Blakeman, Marilynn and Carl Thoma Executive Director of The McKnight Center. “Devon is a premier leader in the private energy sector and a major supporter of Oklahoma’s vibrant arts and humanities culture. We look forward to engaging new and existing audiences through Devon’s support.”
Rick Muncrief, president and CEO of Devon, noted the importance of art appreciation to the company.
“Through this collaboration, Devon celebrates the impact fine art has on community enrichment,” Muncrief said. “The McKnight Center has done an amazing job bringing unique and engaging shows to Oklahoma and expanding accessibility. We are excited to see what the 2023-2024 season brings.”
The sponsorship expands on the company’s previous support of The McKnight Center’s Pep Rally Concert Series, an array of events held on the evenings before OSU home football games.

The McKnight Center’s fifth season begins Sept. 15 with Scotty McCreery and includes the return of the renowned New York Philharmonic.
