(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / November 30, 2017) — Oklahoma State Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Dave Smith announced the 2017-18 indoor track and field schedule on Thursday, which includes three trips to Fayetteville, Arkansas, and the 2018 NCAA Championships on Texas A&M’s campus in March.

The season kicks off next Saturday at the Kansas State Winter Invitational in Manhattan, Kansas. OSU won five events at the season opener last year. This year’s event will mark the first of three trips to Manhattan during the 2017-18 season, as the teams will return to K-State in February 2018 for the DeLoss Dodds Invitational and the Steve Miller Open.

The Texas Tech Corky Classic will open the new calendar year for the Cowboys and Cowgirls, which takes place in Lubbock, Texas, on Jan. 13.

For the fourth-straight year, the second weekend in February will be a busy one for the Pokes.

The track and field squads will be split into four groups and dispersed across the country in Seattle, Ames, Fayetteville and Albuquerque on Feb. 9-10.

The following weekend will wrap up the regular season for the teams, as they will again be scattered among Indiana at the Alex Wilson Invitational, Arkansas at the Arkansas Qualifier and Kansas at the Steve Miller Open.

OSU gets little time to rest though, as the Big 12 Championships will be held in Ames, Iowa on Feb. 23-24. The Cowboys took fourth and the Cowgirls third in last year’s indoor conference championships.

The 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships will be held on March 9-10 in College Station, Texas.
