(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / July 1, 2019) – Oklahoma State Equestrian has finalized its schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season.
The Cowgirls open the season with a road trip to Tennessee, where they’ll face host UT-Martin and defending national champion, Auburn, on Sept. 19-20, at the Ned McWherter Agricultural Pavilion.
In Larry Sanchez’s 21st season as head coach, OSU hosts six meets and opens conference action at home against Baylor on Oct. 18. The Pokes opened conference play against Baylor last season as well, upsetting the then third-ranked Bears, 11-9.
Non-conference opponents making the trip to Stillwater include South Dakota State (Sept. 27), South Carolina (Nov. 23) and Texas A&M (Feb. 22).
New Big 12 member Fresno State’s initial home-and-home conference series takes place on Oct. 25 in Fresno and March 14 in Stillwater, where the Cowgirls close out the regular season.
Another first for the Cowgirls will be their meet against UC Davis on Oct. 26 in California. This will be the Aggies second season in the NCEA.
The 2020 postseason begins with the Big 12 Championship in Waco, Texas, from March 27-28. NCEA National Championship competition follows afterward on April 15-18 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco.
