STILLWATER, Okla. (November 25, 2015) - Stillwater’s award-winning children’s museum, Oklahoma WONDERtorium, will be hosting a book signing for children’s book, “Mrs. Claus’s Night Before Christmas,” with author, Carrie McKenzie and illustrator, Gabi Martin, on December 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and December 20 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. McKenzie began working at Oklahoma WONDERtorium when she was a student at Oklahoma State University. Martin is originally from the Czech Republic and has been a Stillwater resident for 15 years. McKenzie and Martin will also be donating two copies of the signed books to each of Stillwater’s elementary schools as well.
“For several years Oklahoma WONDERtorium has hosted an event called Cupcakes With Mrs. Claus. In keeping with our theme, I suggested we create our own story based on what Mrs. Claus does when Santa leaves to make his deliveries. The next day Carrie had penned this wonderful rhyming story. Then we found Gabi who made the words jump to life with her illustrations. The two of them have collaborated to create a fun and whimsical holiday story,” shared Debbie Williams, Oklahoma WONDERtorium Program Coordinator.
The tender holiday tale takes a look at Christmas Eve from the perspective of Mrs. Claus. “Mrs. Claus’s Night Before Christmas” will be available for purchase in Oklahoma WONDERtorium‘s gift shop the first week of December. It is also currently available on Amazon.com.
