(STILLWATER, OKLA. / April 26, 2023) –Eskimo Joe’s and Mexico Joe’s are hosting their annual Joe’s Golf Classic on May 8 in Perkins to benefit United Way of Payne County.
The tournament is a four-person scramble, taking place for the first time at Cimarron Trails Golf Club in Perkins. In addition to a round of golf, participants each receive players' gifts and a chance to win prizes. There is also an auction scheduled, which will be exclusively online this year and open for anyone to bid.
Kendra Burtrum, the event organizer, has collected items such as a stainless-steel cooler, a Tito’s VESSEL golf bag, and an OSU football helmet and ball with coach Mike Gundy’s signature.
Burtrum also organizes the Juke Joint Jog fundraiser in October. The jog and golf events are two of the most popular community-involved fundraisers for United Way of Payne County, of which Burtrum also serves on the board.
“We can’t emphasize how much we appreciate Kendra’s hard work organizing these events,” Ruth Cavins, United Way of Payne County’s executive director, said. “The time and energy she and her team at Stan Clark Companies donates has a major impact on our goals.”
This is the 43rd year Stan Clark, Eskimo Joe’s founder, and his employees have supported United Way of Payne County’s mission to decrease poverty, support education and improve the health and safety of its residents.
