STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s women’s tennis team announced its spring schedule for the 2023 season on Tuesday. The challenging slate features the 2022 NCAA champion and runners-up in Texas and Oklahoma, respectively.  

  

The Cowgirls will kick off the season at the Freeman Memorial Invite in Las Vegas, Jan. 13-15, before officially opening the season Jan. 21 in Tulsa.  

  

The road swing continues as OSU will head to Ohio State on Feb. 2 then to Michigan on Feb 4. As part of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, the Cowgirls will visit Seattle to compete from Feb. 9-13. 

 

Oklahoma State will play host for the first time in the spring as they battle in a doubleheader on Feb. 25 against South Carolina and Wichita State.   

  

Following its matches at the Greenwood Tennis Center, the Cowgirls will hit the road again as they head to Santa Barbara, Calif. to face UC Santa Barbara, March 3. On March 5, OSU will go to Malibu, Calif., for a contest against Pepperdine.   

 

Oklahoma State will commence conference play in Austin to compete against the reigning national champions in Texas, March 10, before traveling to Baylor on March 12.  

  

The Cowgirls will return to Stillwater for a four-match home stand starting with Texas Tech, March 17, and TCU on March 19. Iowa State and West Virginia are each scheduled to visit the Greenwood Tennis Center, March 31 and April 2, respectively as OSU will conclude home play for the season.   

  

The Cowgirls will travel to Norman on April 7 for the first Bedlam matchup of the season with Oklahoma before heading to Kansas on April 14. The Pokes will round out the regular season on April 16 with a match against Kansas State in Manhattan.   

  

Postseason action begins with the Big 12 Championships in Lawrence on April 20-23. Two weeks later, Oklahoma State will begin the battle for the 2023 NCAA title in the first and second rounds, May 5-7, the super regionals on May 12-13 and then at the team championships in Orlando on May 18-21.   

  

The Cowgirls will close out the 2022-23 season in Orlando on May 22-28 at the NCAA Individual Championships.
