(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / May 3, 2017) – Oklahoma State’s 2017 soccer schedule includes seven NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago and nine home matches at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.

OSU is coming off a 2016 season that saw the Cowgirls make the 10th NCAA Championship appearance in program history and its ninth in the last 11 years. Eight players who started at least 10 games return from that ’16 squad, which finished 9-9-3.

Coach Colin Carmichael’s squad opens with a preseason exhibition match at Missouri on Aug. 12 before kicking off the regular season the following weekend with home matches against Loyola-Chicago and UMKC.

The Cowgirls travel to Norman for a non-conference showdown against Bedlam-rival Oklahoma on Aug. 25, with other non-conference highlights including games at Texas A&M (Sept. 1) and California (Sept. 17) and a home match against Illinois (Sept. 8).

OSU opens Big 12 Conference play against OU in Stillwater on Sept. 22. The Cowgirls also have home conference matches against Baylor, Kansas State and Kansas and will face TCU, West Virginia, Iowa State, Texas Tech and Texas on the road.

As an additional note to the 2017 schedule, all games at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex will kick off at 5 p.m. or earlier as the field will be without lights due to the ongoing construction of OSU’s new facility.

Postseason play begins Nov. 1 at the Big 12 Soccer Championship in Kansas City, Mo., with the start of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship set for Nov. 10-12.
