(STILLWATER, Okla. Sept. 9, 2016) – Oklahoma State’s women’s basketball team has announced its full slate for the upcoming 2016-17 season with the release of the Big 12 schedule today by the league office.

 The Cowgirls will get the season underway on Oct. 30 with an exhibition contest against Southeastern Oklahoma State before getting their regular season started on Nov. 11 against Arkansas State in Stillwater.

 Match ups with Tennessee State (Nov. 15) and Loyola Marymount (Nov. 17) will close out the season-opening home stand.

 OSU’s first road game will come on Nov. 20 against Washington State before the Cowgirls return home for four consecutive contests inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.

 Northern Iowa will come to town on Nov. 23 and will be followed by Rice on Nov. 26. Georgia will come calling on Dec. 3 as part of the SEC/Big 12 Women’s Basketball Challenge. Texas Rio Grande Valley will close out OSU’s non-conference home slate on Dec. 11.

 Three games in Las Vegas as part of the Play4Kay Shootout on Dec. 19-21 will wrap up the non-league slate for head coach Jim Littell’s squad.

 The conference slate features a double round robin format for the sixth-consecutive year consisting of 18 games with squads playing each other twice.

 The Cowgirls will open Big 12 play on Dec. 29 when they host Iowa State. After back-to-back road trips to Texas Tech (Jan. 1) and TCU (Jan. 4), OSU will return home to face Baylor before hitting the road to take on Texas on Jan. 10.

 Kansas State will pay a visit to Stillwater on Jan. 14 before the Cowgirls head to Norman, Okla., to take on Oklahoma in the first installment of the Bedlam Series on Jan. 22. OSU will host Kansas on Jan. 25 before a road tilt at Kansas State on Jan. 28.

 A two-game homestand with Texas (Feb. 1) and Oklahoma (Feb. 4) will precede consecutive road trips with the Cowgirls traveling to Kansas on Feb. 8 and West Virginia on Feb. 11.

 OSU will host TCU on Feb. 15 before a Feb. 18 road trip to Waco, Texas to take on Baylor. The Cowgirls will host Texas Tech on Feb. 22 with a Feb. 25 contest against West Virginia closing out the home portion of the schedule.

 The Cowgirls will close out the regular season on Feb. 27 with a road contest against Iowa State.
