Seven All-Americans and five seniors return to the Cowboys lineup and redshirt-freshman, and 2017 Junior World Champion Daton Fix is another key addition at 133 pounds. The Pokes moved up one spot in the USA Today/Intermat rankings this past week to No. 3 in the country and look to improve upon a 3-0, (2-0 Big 12) record. Oklahoma State head coach John Smith assumed the title of winningest active head coach in NCAA Division I wrestling over a year ago. He holds 414 wins in his 28th year coaching the Cowboys. Last season, Smith became the eighth coach to notch 400 wins in division I wrestling.
The Basics
The Oklahoma State wrestling team hosts in-state rival Oklahoma on Sunday for the teams' lone matchup of the 2018-19 season. It marks the 178th dual between the two historic programs and the 91st meeting in Stillwater. The Cowboys have won the previous eight meetings, and the Sooners haven't beaten OSU in Gallagher-Iba Arena since Nov. 1995. OSU has a ranked wrestler at each weight, with six positioned in Intermat's top 10. The lone ranked Sooner at 141 pounds is No. 16 Dom Demas, who was voted the Nov. 12 Big 12 Wrestler of the Week.
Bedlam Highlights
Oklahoma State has not lost at home to Oklahoma since Nov. 28, 1995. In his OSU coaching tenure, John Smith has gone 49-6-3 against the Sooners. The Cowboys have won the previous eight matchups against OU, with a 23.5 point margin of victory. No. 4 Nick Piccininni meets a familiar opponent at 125 pounds in OU's Christian Moody. The two have met five times prior to Sunday's bout, with the Cowboy winning all of those matches. At 133 pounds No. 6 Kaid Brock faces the Sooners' single ranked wrestler Dom Demas. The redshirt freshman is ranked No. 16 in the country at 141 pounds. A rarity in most Bedlam duals, only one bout in the projected lineups will feature two native Oklahoma wrestlers. At 149 pounds, Kaden Gfeller (Oklahoma City) meets with OU senior Davion Jeffries (Broken Arrow).

The Cowboys' Bedlam dual on Sunday marks the 178th in a series that dates back to 1920. OSU leads the Sooners 140-27-10. Smith has only two losses at home to the in-state rival in his coaching career, the most recent in 1995. OSU and the Sooners have met 91 times in Stillwater and held the contest 83 times in Norman. There are three neutral-site meetings, all of which went in the Cowboys' favor. Sunday marks the fourth meeting between Smith and Oklahoma coach Lou Rosselli.
