STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State football team has climbed in both the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Poll for six consecutive weeks, reaching season highs of Nos. 9 and 11, respectively, in today’s rankings.

The Cowboys (9-1 overall, 6-1 Big 12), who are up one spot in each poll from last week’s rankings, have climbed a total of 11 places in each poll over the past six weeks.

The No. 9 spot is the highest the Cowboys have been ranked in the USA Today Poll this year, while their No. 11 ranking in the AP Poll matches their highest of the season as they were also No. 11 in the Sept 15 and Sept. 22 polls.

Oklahoma State is coming off of a dominating 38-13 win over then-No. 23 Texas in Austin to set up the premier matchup in college football this weekend, as the Cowboys host No. 3 Baylor (9-0 overall; 6-0 Big 12) at 7 p.m. CT in Boone Pickens Stadium.

ESPN’s College Gameday will be on campus to preview the game and airs live from 8-11 a.m. CT on Saturday.

Three Big 12 Conference teams are ranked in both polls this week, with Baylor and Oklahoma joining Oklahoma State.
