Stillwater, Okla. - Oklahoma State's men's tennis team will get its 2021 fall season underway this weekend when it hosts the OSU Invitational at the Greenwood Tennis Center. 

 

The event will mark the Cowboys' debut under new head coach Dustin Taylor. Returner Luke Hammond will be joined by transfers Leighton Allen and Maxim Verboven as well as freshmen Nic Pesoli, Francisco Pini and SammrRaina as Cowboys slated to compete for OSU. 

 

The invitational will feature players from three schools: Nebraska, Tulsa and Wichita State. The tournament will be spread across three days of competition. Beginning Friday, play will start at 1 p.m. as the Cowboys will take on Nebraska in singles play. 

 

In a hidden-dual format, OSU will square off with Wichita State at 4 p.m. Saturday morning, the team will take on Tulsa in doubles action at 10 a.m. following the singles portion of the Wichita State dual at 12 p.m. The Cowboys will round out the tournament on Sunday with doubles against Nebraska at 10 a.m. before competing against Tulsa in singles at 3 p.m.

 

The Cowboys finished last season at No. 22 in the ITA Rankings and will look to build on that success under the tutelage of Taylor.
