STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State wrestling team moved to third in the NWCA Coaches Poll, while Casey Swiderski jumped into the top 10 after his win this past weekend against Iowa State.
All 10 Cowboys in the starting lineup are ranked inside the top 11.
Aside from OSU, the Big 12 has seven other schools in this week’s poll, including No. 4 Iowa State, No. 14 South Dakota State, No. 16 West Virginia, No. 18 Oklahoma, No. 19 Northern Iowa, No. 20 Missouri and No. 25 Wyoming.
Oklahoma State’s Casey Swiderski and Jax Forrest are the lone Cowboys to move up in the poll after last weekend’s pair of dual wins over Northern Iowa and Iowa State. Swiderski (149) jumped three spots in the poll to No. 9, while Forrest (133) moved just one spot to No. 11.
Sergio Vega (141) and Dee Lockett (165) remain the highest-ranked Cowboy wrestlers on the squad, slotted No. 2 at their respective weight classes. Also inside the top 10, the Cowboys have five wrestlers ranked No. 7 in the country, including Troy Spratley (125), Landon Robideau (157), Alex Facundo (174), Cody Merrill (197), and Konner Doucet (HWT).
Zack Ryder dropped one spot to No. 9 after his loss against Northern Iowa.
