STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s men’s tennis team announced its spring schedule for the 2023 season on Thursday. 

 

The Cowboys will kick off the slate when they host the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a doubleheader in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Jan. 14. The Pokes took two commanding victories over UTRGV a year ago, defeating them twice, both times 7-0. 

 

The following weekend, OSU will finish its homestand with Omaha and Lamar on Jan. 21 and 22. 


With the first road trip of the spring, OSU will head to Chapel Hill, N.C, to play North Carolina on Jan. 28, along with a Columbia and Harvard doubleheader on Jan. 29. 

 

Returning to the Greenwood Tennis Center on Feb. 12, the Pokes will face Washington, a team the Cowboys have only seen twice in program history. 

 

Oklahoma State will hit the road again from Feb. 17-19, where it travels to Murfreesboro and Nashville, Tenn., respectively, to take on Middle Tennessee State and Vanderbilt. 

 

Simultaneously, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association will host the National Indoors in Chicago, Ill., from Feb. 17-20. 

 

On Feb. 26, OSU travels to Ithaca N.Y., to face Cornell, a foe it has faced only one other time in program history. 

 

The Cowboys return home for a three-match stretch, where they will play Wichita State on Mar. 3, SMU on March 5 and UCF on Mar. 10. 

 

The Pokes head to Los Angeles, Calif., on March 17-19 to play USC and UCLA during OSU’s spring break before moving on to Malibu, Calif., to face Pepperdine before returning home on March 26 to play Tulane at the Greenwood Tennis Center. 

 

OSU kicks off Big 12 play versus Texas in Austin, Texas, on March 31. In the same weekend, the Cowboys will travel to Fort Worth, Texas, to play TCU on April 2.

 

On April 6, Oklahoma State hosts Bedlam against in-state rival Oklahoma. The Cowboys are 42-35 all time against the Sooners. 

 

The Pokes head to Tulsa, Okla., to face Tulsa on April 8. OSU wraps up its home slate with Texas Tech on April 14, followed by Baylor on April 16. 

 

Postseason action begins with the Big 12 Championships in Lawrence, Kan., from April 21-24.

 

The battle for the NCAA title beings May 5-7, with the first and second rounds. The round of 16 will take place May 13-14. 

 

NCAA Team Championships take place in Orlando Fla. From May 18-21. Wrapping up the 2022-23 season, is the NCAA Individual Championships from May 22-28.
