STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State football team is ranked as the No. 10 team in the nation according to the USA Today Coaches Poll released today. The Cowboys are also up to the No. 12 spot in today’s Associated Press Poll after a dominating performance in a 42-6 win over Kansas Saturday.
For the second consecutive week, the Cowboys (8-1, 5-1 Big 12) rose one spot in the USA Today Poll and three places in the AP Poll. Today’s rankings also mark the fifth consecutive week OSU has improved in both polls. During that stretch, OSU has climbed a total of 10 places in each poll. In the past two weeks alone, Oklahoma State has jumped a total of six places in the AP Poll.
The No. 10 spot is the highest the Cowboys have been ranked in the USA Today Poll this year, while they have been ranked as high as No. 11 in the AP Poll.
Four Big 12 Conference teams are ranked in both polls this week, with Baylor, Oklahoma and Texas joining Oklahoma State.
The Cowboys resume play Nov. 16 when they take on No. 23/24 Texas at 2:30 p.m. in Austin.
