Monroe Avenue will be closing June 27th at 6 p.m. All parking lots from University Avenue to Farm Road will need to be cleared no later than 5 p.m. in advance of the Juneteenth celebration and march scheduled on the Stillwater campus.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. behind Edmon Low Library. The march is scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m. and stay on university sidewalks. The proposed route includes sidewalks along Athletic Avenue, Monroe Avenue and Hester Street. The OSUPD will block the roads as necessary to ensure the safety of the participants. The procession will end in front of the library. A diagram of the route is attached.
