COVID-19 Facts to Know

 

On March 15, 2020 the City of Stillwater declared a state of emergency in response to the spreading of COVID-19 virus. This state will remain in effect until Sunday, April 14, 2020, but can be extended if need be.

Visit Stillwaters' main priority is the healthcare and well being of our staff, families, and community. We continue to work with events to bring you an updated list of cancellations. Please contact event coordinators directly for the most up to date cancellation information. 

As we learn about more closings and canceled/postponed events we will update our website. At this time the City of Stillwater are asking residents to reschedule meetings and events and to follow strict social distancing measures to help slow the spread of this virus.

Updated Cancelations as of April 1, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. 

Museums or Attractions Canceled or Closed 

  • Oklahoma Wondertorium is closed. 

  • OSU Museum of Art is closed to the public. 

  • National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum is closed. 

  • All Greenwood School of Music events has been postponed. 

Events Postponed or Canceled  

  • All OSU Athletic events have been canceled. 

  • All NCAA Winter and Spring Championships have been canceled. 

  • All meetings at the Stillwater Community Center has been postponed or canceled. 

  • Blazathon, April 4th, has been canceled and rescheduled for October 2nd & 3rd. 

  • The McKnight Center has postponed all performances until April 5th. 

  • Praire Arts Center has canceled or postponed all classes. 

  • Stillwater Arts Festival, April 17-18, has been canceled. 

  • Special Olympics Oklahoma, May 13-15, has been canceled. 

  • SASA Cowboy Classic baseball tournaments April 3-5, has been canceled. 

  • OSU Transit Services closed through April 3rd. 

  • All meetings and classes at the Stillwater Public Library are canceled. At this time the library will not be accepting returned material and the book drop is locked. All items new due date is May 1, 2020. 

  • Calf Fry 2020 has been postponed 

  • EPOS Sports Experience, June 15th - 30th, has been canceled.  

Hospitality Partners Adjusted Hours or Services 

  • All restaurant dining rooms are closed to the public until April 14th. Pickup and delivery service still remains open. For a list of restaurants still providing services click here

  • All Gym and Fitness facilities, bars and lounges, entertainment venues, movie theatres, bowling alleys, and skating rinks are closed until April 14th. 

  • All Social Security offices will be closed to the public for in-person service beginning Tuesday. 

  • Stillwater Boot & Shoe Repair, 901A East 6th, is open normal hours but is taking extra precautions. Limit one customer in the building at a time. 

  • Stillwater Medical Center has adjusted visitation hours from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitors must be over the age of 18, and must be willing to submit to a temperature check and must not have any symptoms of illness before entering any Stillwater Medical facility. Only one support person at a time. 

  • EVERYMAN has placed Omnibus Cabinets outside their store in Downtown Stillwater. These cabinets are available to anyone in need of food or supplies. "Take what you need, leave what you can." 

  • Our Daily Bread is providing prepacked boxes of food being handed out in a walk-up approach. 

  • Atherton Hotel is temporarily closed until April 15th.
