Beloved conductor Jaap van Zweden returns to The McKnight Center, this time for two unique concerts with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO). The SPO has been a leading cultural institution in Asia for the last twenty years. Under the direction of renowned conductors including Myung-Whun Chung, Osmo Vänskä, and current music director Jaap van Zweden, the SPO has expanded its artistic reach and international presence. The orchestra has been in prestigious venues across Europe, North America, and Asia, including the BBC Proms, Musikverein, and Concertgebouw.

Preludes is a moderated half-hour conversation with our distinguished guest artists before each concert in our Classical Series. These casual discussions provide insight about the evening’s program, including the music that will be performed, the soloists, and the ensembles. Preludes is the perfect way to deepen your musical understanding and enhance your enjoyment of the concert.

Preludes is held in the Recital Hall beginning one hour prior to show time. No ticket needed - Preludes is free for all to attend.
