The National Symphony Orchestra returns to The McKnight Center for a second performance under the baton of Music Director Gianandrea Noseda, featuring acclaimed violinist Ray Chen. Founded in 1931, the NSO is internationally recognized for its artistic excellence and dedication to both performance and music education, presenting more than 150 concerts each season. This program highlights a vibrant and emotionally rich selection of works, including Carlos Simon’s Monuments – Suite for D.C., Mendelssohn’s lyrical Violin Concerto featuring Ray Chen, and Dvořák’s powerful Symphony No. 8. Known for his charisma and virtuosity, Chen brings brilliance and energy to one of the most beloved concertos in the violin repertoire.
