The Cameraman: Silent Film with Organist Peter Krasinski

Overview

·         Organist Peter Krasinski is hailed as a film accompanist extraordinaire, and he’ll return to The McKnight Center for his 5th performance.   The featured silent film – The Cameraman – is considered to be one of actor Buster Keaton’s best and is a great romantic comedy. Peter’s concerts are fully improvised. He knows the movie so well he’s able to create the perfect atmosphere for each scene, complete with recurring themes for characters and emotions. He so perfectly blends movie and music that audiences often forget he’s onstage performing live.   This concert will also feature a Preludes Pre-Concert Conversation with Peter. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the movie’s history and how he’s able to seamlessly create the musical score.

Tickets are on sale now for all performances in the 2023-2024 season.
