The annual Speedfest Aerospace Design Competition and Exposition is an exciting, high-speed aircraft design competition that is intended to foster enthusiasm for aviation and unmanned aircraft design. There are two flight classes: the Alpha Class is the advanced class, which is for collegiate-level teams while the India Class is open to high-school level teams and teams with a similar skill level, on an invitational basis. Each student team will demonstrate their ability to design, develop, and flight test a fast attack / sensor deployment UAV. Each team will perform flight demonstrations of their prototypes, as well as host an exposition of their design to industry judges and spectators. We are also hosting a ground based class. Charlie Class, is a new class for high-speed autonomous robot Cars. This vehicles will travel the course without human intervention and deploy sensors in a designated zone.
