Allied Arts and the Red Dirt Relief Fund are partnering to bring OSU students and residents of Stillwater a songwriting workshop with many of Oklahoma's own award-winning songwriters.

Join us in the Student Union Council Room (412) at 7 p.m. to work with John Cooper of the Red Dirt Rangers, Nellie Marie Clay a fan favorite songwriter at the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival, Bo Philips who wrote "Red Dirt Girl" which hit #1 on the Texas Top 100 Chart in 2012, and Gene Collier who wrote "Boys from Oklahoma" made famous by Cross Canadian Ragweed. Bring a notebook, pen, any songs or lyrics you're working on, and learn from some of Oklahoma's best in an intimate setting.

Attendance is FREE. Registration beforehand is not required but appreciated. Once you've had some practice, consider submitting your song to the Jimmy LaFave Songwriting Contest for the upcoming 9th Annual Bob Childers Gypsy Cafe Festival.
