Fruit and vegetable growers and others interested in learning about produce safety, Food Safety Modernization Act, Good Agricultural Practices, and more this is the course for you!
The PSA Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement outlined in § 112.22(c) that requires “At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.
The training is offered in collaboration with the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food & Forestry.
To be eligible for the PSA/AFDO Certificate of Course Completion, participants must be present for all PSA course modules. Participants must have video capability, and the training team will monitor the course participants during the training.
Electronic course evaluations must be returned. The evaluation form will be provided (electronic) to participants on the day of the training.
After registering for the course, call Karen Smith at 405-744-6277 to pay with a credit card. Following registration, instructions to join the web platform will be sent to participants prior to the training date.
A $25 fee will be billed to those who fail to cancel or attend. The registration fee covers workshop material costs.
