Each week participants will explore a different artist in depth, creating works inspired by their medium, subject matter, philosophy, and life. Each 4 day camp will include a combination of two dimensional and three dimensional projects, and will be divided into a 6-10 year old age group and an 11-14 year old group. As always, kids will learn a lot, play, explore, and expand their understanding of art and the world around us! All supplies included. Students will need to bring a sack lunch, as well as a light snack for morning break. Students need to wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get messy. Students are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle with the student’s name on it. 

This week's spotlight is on the ever inquisitive contemporary Mexican artist, Gabriel Orozco. Orozco engages with many mediums including drawing, photography, sculpture, and installation. He is especially interested in using everyday objects in his artwork, using them to tell stories and ask questions about the nature of our physical existence. Like Orozco, participant will spend the week asking questions and telling stories (and maybe making a joke or two) through their artwork!
