Overview

Oklahoma State baseball will open O'Brate Stadium on March 20, 2020, for the Cowboys' Big 12 Conference opener against TCU.

The Cowboys' first 14 home games of 2020 will be played at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium, beginning with a weekend series against UT Rio Grande Valley opening on Feb. 21 and concluding March 15 with the finale of a three-game series with Fresno State. No ceremonial closing is scheduled for Allie P. Reynolds Stadium as OSU celebrated the historic stadium throughout the 2018 season.

"The opening of O'Brate Stadium will represent a historic day for Cowboy Baseball," said OSU head coach Josh Holliday. "The experience for our players, coaches and fans will be unlike any we have experienced in Stillwater. The ability to train our players and compete in a world-class facility is such a gift.

"We can't put into words our appreciation to the O'Brate family and the other generous donors for making this dream come true. Our friends, fans, opponents and baseball enthusiasts will have an amazing experience in our new home."

Fans who attend OSU's fall exhibition game against Arkansas Saturday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium will have the opportunity to put down a $75 season ticket deposit (per account holder) and exclusive first access to O'Brate Stadium ticket information, such as pricing and unique seating opportunities. Ticket office representatives will be at Reynolds Stadium from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to answer questions and take deposits.

Seat-selection events will be held at O'Brate Stadium at later dates to be announced. The order of seat selection will be: 2019 baseball season ticket holders, POSSE members and then the general public.

Further ticket information for the inaugural season at O'Brate Stadium will be announced soon.

Named after major benefactor Cecil O'Brate, the new home of Cowboy baseball will include approximately 3,500 permanent seats, 11 suites and 400 premium seats in dedicated club and suite areas. Seating can be expanded to 8,000 as needed.

Among the many features of the O'Brate Stadium complex are:

  • A "training triangle" area comprised of an indoor facility, a pitching lab and an artificial turf infield that allows the Cowboys to practice year-round, regardless of weather conditions, without having to utilize the ballpark's main natural grass playing surface.

  • A 7,400-square-foot locker room and player lounge, as well as a nutrition center and a tiered-seating classroom.

  • An operations center that houses a sports medicine area, additional training space and a baseball-specific laundry center and equipment room
