Overview

How Dry Was It? Prohibition in Stillwater will guide visitors from the Territorial Period through today, as they explore Oklahoma’s’ prohibition past and what new laws could mean for the future. Come find out what prohibition really meant to the people of Stillwater and Payne County. This exhibit will present both sides of the issues and will show how controversial and yet trivial the debate became. The exhibits will remain on display until August of 2018. The Sheerar Museum of Stillwater History is open to the public free of charge Tuesdays through Fridays from 11-5 and Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4.
