Overview

The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of OSU will host a week-long Chamber Music Festival April 8 through April 14. This week-long Festival will feature soiree concerts in OKC, Tulsa, and Stillwater along with an education concert and master classes. For the finale concert on April 14, the McKnight Center will present a FREE Community Chamber Concert.

This concert will feature music by George Frideric Handel, George Gershwin, Antonin Dvorak, as well as an Oklahoma premiere piece written by Bruce Adolphe. Famed concert pianist and chamber musician Anne-Marie McDermott is the Festival’s artistic director and is responsible for recruiting each of the musicians and programming the music highlighted throughout the week. Many of these highly talented artists have performed on world-renowned stages such as the Dallas Symphony, the Zurich Opera, Santa Fe Opera, the MET, Curtis Institute of Music, and the St. Lawrence String Quartet.
