On December 16, 2017, join the Stillwater Center for the Arts on their Art "Bus" and help flood the streets of Stillwater with free art!
"Flood the Streets with Art" is an effort to make owning original art accessible to everyone. The idea is for artists to create one (or more!) pieces of original art and then leave it in a public space with a tag gifting the item to the lucky finder. The tags traditionally explain the purpose of the event and a request that the finder send an email letting the sponsoring group know it was found. Finders have the option of including information about themselves and/or what it means to be the owner of their original art. It's an initiative that benefits both the givers and the finders in a season where giving is celebrated.
If you are a local artists, join Stillwater Arts in their first "Flood the Streets with Art". You can drop off your art at the Stillwater Center for the Arts, 1001 S. Duck, Stillwater, anytime until December 15th. They will have tags available to attach to your piece(s) but you are welcome to include your business card if you have one.
Stillwater Center for the Arts will also host two Saturdays and a Thursday artwork events where you can come into the center and create your original art. On December 2nd and December 9th from 10:30 to 3:30, and December 7th from12:00pm - 8:00pm you are welcome to either bring your supplies of choice or we will have clay and canvas/paints available.
