Overview

The Stillwater Public Library and the OSU Writing Center will offer several opportunities for youth in grades 4-7 to practice and enhance their writing skills. There will be a five-session “Creative Writing Club” that will meet every Tuesday in April, from 4 to 5 p.m. Additionally, there will be a bonus session, "After 'The End': Continuing the Story," on Wednesday, April 24, at 4:30 p.m. At the “Creative Writing Club,” participants will experiment with writing skits, plays, poems, song lyrics and autobiographical pieces. Children’s library assistant Susan Ross looks forward to hosting more writing programs this spring. "Participants don't need a lot of writing experience! The bonus workshop will invite participants to take a story written by someone else and expand on the story by writing what happens next. “After ‘The End’ will be led by Exquisite Williams and Alicia Tan from the OSU Writing Center. Participants may register for the “Creative Writing Club” and the bonus workshop at tinyurl.com/SPLWritingClub, stopping by the Help Desks at the library or calling (405) 372-3633 x8108.
