Cowgirl, Cowboy Basketball Open Practices Prior To Football Game On Sept. 28
Start your football tailgating with a trip to Gallagher-Iba Arena to watch the Oklahoma State men’s and women’s basketball teams practice on Saturday, Sept. 28.
The Cowgirls will begin practice at 11:30 a.m. and the Cowboys will take the GIA floor at 12:30 p.m. with autographs and selfies to follow at 1:30 p.m. The Cowboy football game against Kansas State will kick off at 6 p.m.
Concessions will be available during the practices, including pizza, hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, candy and drinks.
Fans are asked to enter GIA through the East lobby, and seating will be available on the East side of the arena’s 100 and 200 levels. The North and South lobbies, Heritage Hall as well as the West side of GIA will be closed to fans. Standard POSSE game day parking rules will be in effect.
All-American Vivian Gray returns for her junior season to a talented Cowgirls squad that added the likes of NJCAA National Player of the Year, Natasha Mack, and 2019 Canadian Player of the Year, Micah Dennis.
The Cowboys return all five starters, including 78 percent of their scoring, and have been joined by a top-25 recruiting class that includes Avery Anderson III, Kalib Boone, Keylan Boone, Chris Harris, grad transfer Jonathan Laurent, Hidde Roessink and Marcus Watson.
The 2019-20 basketball seasons begin on Tuesday, Nov. 5 when the Cowgirls take on Idaho, followed by the men’s game against Oral Roberts on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Your first chance to see the Cowgirls in action will be their exhibition game against Emporia State at 2 p.m. on Oct. 27. The Cowboys exhibition will be at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 against Rogers State.
