Art Exhibition - Blow Up II: Inflatable Contemporary Art with OSU Museum of Art
BLOW UP II: Inflatable Contemporary Art explores the imaginative ways that air is used as a tool to create large-scale sculptures. Although inflatable works are often initially regarded as whimsical or humorous, they can contain serious critiques of pop-culture, social norms and the politics of space. BLOW UP II explores the complex relationship between the familiarity of the material combined with serious commentary, creating a dialogue around reinterpretation.
Pieces in this show will be rotated out mid-semester, so be sure to visit more than once to see everything! As always, admission is FREE to the OSU Museum of Art. (Hours: T-Sa 11-4, Th 11-7)
BLOW UP II: Inflatable Contemporary Art was organized by Bedford Gallery at the Lesher Center for the Arts, Walnut Creek, CA.
