(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / January 9, 2018) - Modella Art Gallery is pleased to present Zen and the Art of…, a call to artist exhibition in which artists express their Zen through their work using the concept that Zen can conjure many different emotions and allegory. Most commonly associated with freedom, candor, harmony, confidence, infinity and the imagination, Zen is unique to most.
Exhibiting artists include William Atkinson, Kimberly Bryant, Peggy Cook, Darren Maine, Jeff Williams and Amanda Zimmerman. Works include pottery, mixed media, oil, pastel, watercolor and motorcycle art.
Please join us at the gallery on Thur, Jan. 17 at 6 pm for an opening reception celebrating their work. Dates for artist talks and book discussion of “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance” led by Stillwater Public Library will be announced soon.
Modella Art Gallery is a non-profit art space dedicated to bringing contemporary art to Stillwater, Oklahoma. Established in 2017, the gallery presents a continuing program of art exhibitions by local and national artists, music and performance events, film screenings, poetry readings, and other special events. The gallery is open Thursday – Sunday and by appointment.
