Town & Gown Theatre in Stillwater, OK is proud to announce a special musical presentation, the “Marvelous, Magical, Musical Revue” as part of its New Year’s Eve festivities. This fun-filled event of cabaret-style performances will include songs from musicals that feature a magical theme, or songs that specifically mention magic. Encompassing over a dozen numbers and nearly an hour of singing, dancing, and more, the show will kick off Town & Gown’s 2nd annual New Year’s Eve celebrations with a bang.
Director Sydney Weiser is a veteran of numerous Town & Gown productions and has contributed her talents as an actor, singer, dancer, choreographer, director, and much more. She also directed the 2021 musical revue at Town & Gown, which was the theater’s first live event after the Covid-19 shutdown was lifted. It was a smashing success and this year’s Revue promises to be an equally rousing event. The cast of the Marvelous, Magical, Musical Revue features several Town and Gown veterans, including Elizabeth Ziegler, Shannon DeYong, Sydney Wehmeyer, and Timothy Cole, and also includes newer faces such as Kat Goss and Katy Croft.
All proceeds from this year's revue will go towards physical archival preservation, and any donations are greatly appreciated. Admission to the show is only $10 per person and sponsorships are available at multiple levels as well. Solos, duets, and trios can be sponsored for a donation of $100; small ensemble songs can be sponsored for $200; large group numbers are available for sponsorship for $300; or a title sponsorship is available for just $500. The number of remaining sponsorships is limited, so Town & Gown urges interested patrons to act now. The “Marvelous, Magical, Musical Revue” will take place at Town & Gown Theatre on New Year’s Eve at 7:30 p.m. Patrons over 21 years of age who attend the Revue are also welcome to stay afterward for Town & Gown’s New Year’s Eve party. At just $10 per person, the party includes music, a dance floor, karaoke performances, a “photo booth” area, a midnight toast to ring in the New Year, and more.
