(STILLWATER, Okla. June 7, 2016) The beach is coming to Downtown Stillwater for a special beach party edition of Fridays, Food Trucks and Tunes June 17 from 6 to 10 p.m.
“We encourage everyone to bring their sand pails, chairs and beach towels to enjoy a night of good food, live music and sand castle-building,” Recreation Supervisor Rachel Janway said. “We are excited to bring the beach close to home to help kick off Fridays, Food Trucks and Tunes for the summer season.”
The City of Stillwater will build a mini beach downtown featuring toys and beach balls for kids and families to play together and lounge in the sand. The event will also have an inflatable bounce house in the kid’s area.
To accommodate these special features, Fridays, Food Trucks and Tunes will move to the green space at the corner of 8th and Husband. The parking lot in this space to the west of Husband will be closed all day Friday before the event.
Some of Stillwater’s most popular food truck vendors will be in attendance, along with a live entertainment lineup featuring Uncle Blue and the Zen Okies.
Adult supervision is required for all children.
Downtown Stillwater’s Fridays, Food Trucks and Tunes are held every third Friday from April through August and the Fridays before OSU home football games in September and October.
