(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / Sept. 30, 2015) — Come and do the “Monster Mash” with the City of Stillwater at the 25th Annual Halloween Festival Tuesday, Oct. 27 in Downtown Stillwater between 7th and 10th avenues.
The festival will run from 5–8 p.m. with events occurring at various times. Carnival games run 5–8 p.m., trick-or-treat is from 5:30–7:30 p.m. and the costume contest is at 6:30 p.m.
“The Halloween Festival is a family-friendly event that brings the entire community out to Downtown Stillwater,” Recreation Supervisor Rachel Janway said. “Kids will have the opportunity to trick-or-treat for candy, show off their Halloween costumes and do the ‘Monster Mash.’”
Downtown business owners are also excited about contributing to such a popular festival for kids and adults alike.
“You know this is a great event when you make USA Today’s Top 10 Best Costume Parties in the U.S.,” Business Improvement District (Downtown Stillwater) Chair Kyle Gibbs said. “Downtown business owners and managers can’t wait for this year’s theme and to begin getting decorations ready. This year’s festival is going to be a fun one.”
The festival will be working in conjunction with the Stillwater Junior Service League’s Harvest II.
“We are asking residents to bring nonperishable food items for donation as their admission,” Janway added. “It’s a great way to participate and give back to the community.”
