Stillwater, OK—Ray and the High Rollers have the unique distinction of playing Friday Night at the 33rd Annual Calf Fry being held at the Tumbleweed Outdoor Arena May 1-3, 2025 in Stillwater, OK.

Calf Fry, in partnership with the legendary Tumbleweed Dance Hall, continues its tradition of spotlighting rising stars in the Red Dirt country music scene. Known for launching the careers of many of today’s biggest names, both Calf Fry and The Tumbleweed have become cornerstones of the genre.

 More than one hundred bands from across the region submitted entries for a chance to play the renowned festival stage. After six weeks of intense competition, Ray and the High Rollers emerged as one of the top three bands.

Ray and the High Rollers are from Stillwater, Oklahoma, and have been carving out their own niche in the alt rock and red dirt scene since 2022. The four piece has been making waves in the local music scene bringing fresh sound influenced with gritty rock vibes and a touch of country flair.

Drawing inspiration from notable acts like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Whiskey Myers, and Southall, Ray & the High Rollers blend rock energy with Southern storytelling. Their sound reflects the heart of Oklahoma, combining crunchy guitar riffs with relatable lyrics that resonate with their audience.

Locally, they’ve made a name for themselves, performing at venues around Stillwater, as well as various locations around Oklahoma.  The band creates a unique atmosphere that draws a diverse crowd. With a commitment to their craft and a growing fan base, Ray and the High Rollers continue to make their mark on the Oklahoma music scene and will no doubt be shining brightly across the United States. 

Calf Fry 2025 will feature eighteen acts over three days, with a standout lineup headlined by Treaty Oak Revival, Wyatt Flores, and Ian Munsick. Direct support includes performances by Ole 60, Tanner Usrey, Casey Donahew, and many more.
