(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / March 12, 2019) —The Oklahoma State men’s and women’s track and field teams finalized its respective outdoor schedules, Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Dave Smith announced Tuesday.

The Texas Relays, Stanford Invitational and the ORU Invitational take place within a four-day span at the end of March and make up the first of two loaded weekends for OSU.

The track and field squads will also take on historic meets such as the Penn Relays and the Drake Relays in their second packed weekend of the season. The Desert Heat Classic and the Texas A&M Alumni Muster and both historic Relays take place during the April 25-27 weekend.

The Big 12 Championships will be in Norman on the campus of the University of Oklahoma to kick off the postseason action for OSU on May 10.

National action starts May 23 in Sacramento, California, with the NCAA West Regional. The top 48 individual performers and top 24 relays in the West region move on to the regional round with a chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

The NCAA Outdoor Championships are in Austin this year due to construction at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The national meet is taking place outside of Oregon for the first time since 2012, when it was held in Des Moines, Iowa. Qualifiers for the NCAA Championships are determined based on races at the regional round.

OSU is coming off an indoor season that saw both team finish in the top five Big 12 Indoor Championships and two All-American performances at the national level.
