(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / March 22, 2017) – Visit Stillwater, Stillwater’s Destination Marketing Organization, is gearing up for a full week of events happening throughout Legends Week 2017 – April 14 - 23. “The goal of Legends Week is to bring together event planners to cross-promote all of the events happening in Stillwater, so visitors will attend additional events, stay additional nights, and ultimately increase visitor spending throughout the week” commented Willie Baker, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Visit Stillwater.
Legends Week 2017 kicks off on Friday, April 14 with Cowboy and Cowgirl tennis matches and the second night of Town and Gown Theatre’s production of “To Kill A Mockingbird.” This production will run throughout Legends Week, April 13 – 16 and April 20 – 23. Tickets can be purchased
The 11th Annual Remember the Ten Run – a 5k, 10k, and fun run – honors and celebrates the lives of the ten members of the Oklahoma State University family who perished in a plane crash on January 27, 2001, and starts at 9:00 a.m.
The Oklahoma State University Cowboy Football Spring Game is also on Saturday, April 15 at Boone Pickens Stadium with gates opening at 12:00 p.m. Admission is free and post-game autographs will be held on the field.

The 40th Annual Stillwater Arts Festival in Downtown Stillwater is also part of the Legends Week lineup on Saturday and Sunday, April 22 and 23. Visitors will enjoy a juried art show, artist demonstrations, live entertainment, food trucks, and children’s activities.
