(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / July 18, 2018) – Due to excessive heat conditions anticipated this Friday, the July 20 Friday Food Trucks and Tunes event is postponed.

The temperature forecast at 6 p.m. this Friday is 105 degrees Fahrenheit with a heat index of 108 degrees Fahrenheit and relative humidity at 25 percent. Recognized training standards for outdoor activities recommend staying outside only for a maximum of 30 minutes in these conditions before going back inside for another 30 minutes.

Based on these conditions, the City of Stillwater has decided to postpone this outdoor event in the best interest of the health and safety of all event attendees, food truck vendors and musicians.

The event could be rescheduled for a later date, but no details are available at this time.
