(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / August 13, 2019) - The Oklahoma State basketball team will get the 2019-20 season started with an exhibition game against Rogers State on Nov. 1 in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Rogers State, which is located 95 miles away in Claremore, Oklahoma, will play its second exhibition in GIA and its fourth game overall. The Hillcats are coming off a 20-12 season and are making the transition from the Heartland Conference to the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association for 2019-20.

The Cowboys and Hillcats have faced off twice in the regular season and both have come since 2008. In the last meeting, Jawun Evans powered the Cowboys to a 101-85 win with 25 points, five steals and four assists on Nov. 30, 2016. With 10 points, freshman Lindy Waters was one seven OSU players in double figures that day.

The other regular-season meeting was a 62-53 OSU victory on Jan. 7, 2008. Freshman James Anderson poured in a team-high 15 points in that win.

The lone exhibition meeting in the series was a 112-75 Cowboy victory to open the Travis Ford era on Nov. 5, 2008. Senior Terrel Harris nearly recorded a triple-double with 32 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals.

This year’s exhibition tilt against the Hillcats will open an OSU non-conference slate that includes eight games against teams that finished in the top 100 of the 2019 KenPom Rankings, including five in the top 50, five NCAA Tournament squads, two NIT participants and seven 20-win teams.

The Cowboys return all five starters and 78 percent of its scoring, and will be joined by a signing class unanimously ranked among the nation's top-25.
